Description

The Clinical Manager is a registered professional nurse who oversees the overall administration of clinical services and ensures high-quality patient care in the home. Directs and coordinates clinical services and is responsible for continuity, quality, and safety of services delivered in compliance with state and federal regulations. (Conditions of Participation). Monitors for appropriate staffing and productivity. Coordinates care with the Interdisciplinary Group/Team, patient, family, and referring agency. Oversees QAPI continuous improvements and directs clinical staff concerning the Hospice policies and procedures. The Clinical Manager reports to the Hospice Administrator. Role Expectations: Oversees daily clinical hospice operations to ensure quality patient care and regulatory compliance. Provides leadership, coaching, and performance management for clinical staff. Manages staffing, resource allocation, and continuity of patient care services. Serves as a key clinical resource for staff, patients, families, physicians, and community partners. Ensures compliance with hospice regulations, accreditation standards, and company policies. Leads quality improvement (QAPI) initiatives and monitors clinical outcomes. Participates in hiring, onboarding, training, and professional development of clinical team members. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to support patient-centered care and service excellence. Promotes patient, family, and employee satisfaction through effective communication and leadership. Supports operational goals, fiscal responsibility, and continuous improvement efforts.
