This 115-year-old, non-profit organization has an annual operating budget of over $70 million dollars and generates revenue through four activity streams:  the 15 day annual summer Fair which averages more than 700,000 people annually, Playland amusement park which welcomes 400,000 guests annually including Fright Nights, and a busy year-round portfolio of events including concerts, trade shows and film, cultural and community events.  In total we bring over 2 million people through the site each year. The fourth activity stream is park care and facility maintenance. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and professional execution of events, while upholding organizational standards for staff performance, guest experience, and incident response.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Security Duty Managers is expected to exercise sound judgment, demonstrate strong leadership, and proactively address operational issues independently, escalating only when appropriate. This role requires demonstrated experience managing a diverse portfolio of public events, regardless of scale, audience profile, or operational complexity.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Why join our Team?</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Exhilarating and fun-loving culture</li>\n <li>Flexible work environment </li>\n <li>Opportunity for free or discounted tickets to shows, events, sports games, and much more </li>\n <li>Staff discounts for Playland, The Fair, and Fright Nights, as well as all PNE Food Stands</li>\n <li>Competitive compensation package</li>\n <li>Opportunity to create lasting memories and friendships!</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What will you do this year?</strong> </p>\n<p>In your role as <strong>Security Duty Manager</strong>, your primary accountabilities will be to: </p>\n<p><u>Pre-Event:</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Attend and actively participate in pre-event briefings to obtain and understand relevant event details, schedules, security plans, and special considerations.</li>\n <li>Conduct pre-event site walkthroughs with management to identify and address any safety or operational concerns.</li>\n <li>Verify that all assigned staff comply with uniform and deportment standards prior to deployment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><u>Event Operations:</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for operational issues during events.</li>\n <li>Ensure staff adherence to established policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Monitor staff performance throughout the event and address minor infractions in a timely and professional manner.</li>\n <li>Respond to guest inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.</li>\n <li>Oversee crowd control measures, access management, and emergency response readiness.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., ticketing, first aid) to resolve emergent issues and ensure smooth event flow.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><u>Incident Management & Reporting:</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Handle routine disciplinary matters independently, including issuing verbal warnings and reassigning staff as needed.</li>\n <li>Escalate significant incidents involving safety, misconduct, or potential legal, financial, or reputational impacts in accordance with escalation protocols.</li>\n <li>Complete thorough, accurate incident documentation and submit all required reports within designated timelines. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><u>Post-Event:</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead or participate in post-event debrief sessions to evaluate operational performance and identify areas for improvement.</li>\n <li>Provide constructive feedback regarding staff performance to relevant supervisors and managers.</li>\n <li>Submit comprehensive incident reports, event statics reports, staff performance notes, recommendations to inform future planning and training, and post-event summaries.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What else?</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum 5 years experience in the events industry is required</li>\n <li>Active Advanced Security Training (AST) License is required.</li>\n <li>Proven experience in operational management of diverse public events.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and make independent decisions in dynamic environments.</li>\n <li>Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and hold staff accountable.</li>\n <li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable liaising with internal and external stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with crowd management principles, basic security operations, and incident escalation procedures.</li>\n <li>Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.</li>\n <li><strong>Successful candidates must undergo a Criminal Record Check.</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p>This position is integral for delivering safe and successful events for the PNE and its guests.
