Make a difference to our business As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will solve complex technical issues for our customers applying best practice solutions. Through proactively reviewing and mitigating risk, you will minimize any potential service disruptions for some of the top internet companies in Japan As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will be responsible for: Collaborating with customers and internal cross-functional teams to identify, diagnose, resolve and report on technical issues Contributing to the strategic direction of the global support team to develop and implement best practices Partnering with internal Sales, Services, Engineering and Support teams to ensure customer success on the Akamai platform Working independently with the customers manage customer incidents and escalations to closure Communicating with customers in Japanese and internal communication in English (Written and Spoken) Do what you love To be successful in this role you will: Have experience with working on web application issues (HTML, javascript, JSP) Be well versed in internet protocols such as HTTP(S), TCP/IP, DNS, SSL, network routing and troubleshooting Be experienced in providing technical solutions and support to customers Demonstrate ability to communicate professionally with customers and collaborate with internal stakeholders Demonstrate a good aptitude for building trusted relationships with customers and providing guidance to wider team members Show passion for self improvement and education Have fluency to communicate with customers and internal in fluent Japanese and English Build your career at Akamai Our ability to shape digital life today relies on developing exceptional people like you.
