CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to join our Gas Team at a client site in Spring Valley, NY , where you will contribute to the development of resilient, forward-thinking gas infrastructure. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, collaborate with skilled professionals, and build a strong foundation in utility engineering. What You'll Do: Assist in the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions for crucial transmission and distribution infrastructure for gas utilities Support senior engineers in preparing technical reports, contract documents, and cost estimates Perform calculations and design tasks using industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and best practices for optimizing installation, maintenance, and system reliability Join field assignments with senior staff to gain hands-on experience in assessment, planning, and rehabilitation of gas pipelines and related infrastructure What You Bring: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required No experience required; however prior internships and/or relevant coursework are preferred Strong theoretical foundation and familiarity with engineering software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team Participation in professional engineering society/organization preferred Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification a plus Why You'll Love It Here: Gain exposure to fieldwork and technical problem-solving in critical gas infrastructure Flexible work environment with opportunities for local and occasional travel Make a real impact by helping deliver reliable, resilient, and sustainable utilities to communities Curious about the impactful work our Gas Team is doing?
