Description
As a Machinist - Level 4 here at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our machining processes run efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality standards, while optimizing production schedules. You will lead a team of skilled technicians and collaborate with other departments to meet production goals and customer requirements. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining and improving our manufacturing operations to increase savings and better serve our customers.
In this role, you will impact the future of Honeywell by driving continuous improvement initiatives, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and ensuring the highest standards of quality in our machining processes.
This role will support 1st Shift: Monday- Friday 6 am- 3:30 pm
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate a variety of machine tools, including a CNC machine Produce precision parts and components Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure proper dimensions and tolerances of finished parts Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with quality standards Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines, tools, and equipment to minimize downtime
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE Proven experience as a skilled machinist, using CNC (manual, automated) Lathe Mill, Band Saw, Sheet metal shears, and Drop gauge Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining instructions. Experience with precision measurement tools and quality control techniques. Strong troubleshooting skills for machine maintenance and repair. WE VALUE Associate degree or technical certification in machining or related field. 4+ years of experience in precision machining roles. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Ability to work independently a in a fast-paced environment..
