And our tuition reimbursement program is the perfect springboard to help you get there!</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>So what does a Silvi Materials Parts Clerk do?</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Assist fleet parts team with pickups/deliveries, inventory management</strong></li>\n <li>Conducts inventory checks of truck parts and tools.</li>\n <li>Purchases equipment, tools, part, and supplies as needed.</li>\n <li>Submits purchase orders (P.O.s) for approval.</li>\n <li>Maintains a safe and professional working environment. Attends: daily Tool Box Talks, daily Safety Inspections, monthly Environmental Inspections and submit a weekly PM Report.</li>\n <li>Helps with preventative maintenance schedules for heavy-duty diesel vehicles and mobile equipment.</li>\n <li>Assisting in controlling vehicle downtime and units out of service.</li>\n <li>Maintains location tracking and cost allocation of vehicles and equipment.</li>\n <li>Helps coordinate and prioritizes cost effective repairs.</li>\n <li>Insures DOT and other regulatory compliance, record keeping and reporting (vehicle requirements only).</li>\n <li>Assists with reports for fleet costs and department budgets.</li>\n <li>Recommends and provides the necessary training on current model year vehicles.</li>\n <li>Oversees inspection of vended warranty repairs to ensure that scope of work is complete, and quality of work meets established standard.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications Required as a Silvi Materials Parts Clerk:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in fleet/transportation, repair and maintenance experience for a medium to large size company with multiple facilities preferred.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently.</li>\n <li>Knowledge and experience with safety regulations, i.e. OSHA, DOT as they apply to the operation.</li>\n <li>Experience managing outside vendors.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated leadership ability.</li>\n <li>Solid computer skills</li>\n <li>Ability to handle multiple and conflicting priorities.</li>\n <li>Possesses a sense of urgency and ownership.</li>\n <li>Excellent follow-up skills with the ability to complete assignments/projects through to completion.</li>\n <li>Possesses analytical, strong organizational, problem solving, communication and customer service skills.</li>\n <li>Effective verbal communication and writing skills.</li>\n <li>Able to work one Saturday per month.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<p>In a typical work setting, people in this job:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.</li>\n <li>Stand for long periods of time.</li>\n <li>Kneel, stoop, crouch, bend, stretch, twist or crawl.</li>\n <li>Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them.</li>\n <li>Use fingers to grasp, move, and quickly assemble very small objects.</li>\n <li>Hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm.</li>\n <li>See details of objects that are less than a few feet away.</li>\n <li>Determine from which direction a sound came.</li>\n <li>See differences between colors, shades, and brightness.</li>\n <li>Lift 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds on occasion.</li>\n <li>Use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects</li>\n <li>Use muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects.</li>\n <li>Use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods without getting tired.</li>\n <li>Move two or more limbs together (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while remaining in place.</li>\n <li>No smoking is permitted on or within company property, including inside trucks, buildings, or anywhere on the premises.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Silvi Materials does not discriminate in employment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, genetic information.</p>",
