    "descriptionText": "Salary: USD 75,000–85,000\n\n Description\n\n![](https://workablehr.s3.amazonaws.com/uploads/photos/237549/eba58e7ac9ab12195014a0cd5fa89e76.png)\n\n Position Title: Tactical Networks (TACNET) Subject Matter Expert (SME)\n\n Location: Camp Pendleton, CA\n\n Position Type: Full time\n\n Salary Range: $75,000 $85,000\n\n Security Clearance Requirement: Position requires active security clearance\n\n Certification Requirements: \n\n CompTIA Security+\n\n Years of Experience: 3 5 years\n\n Roles and Responsibilities: \n\nThis role supports the Tactical Networks (TACNET) capability at the Marine Corps Tactical System Support Activity (MCTSSA) at Camp Pendleton supporting the Fleet Marine Forces (FMF) worldwide. The TACNET role provides remote and onsite guidance to assist the FMF to create, manage, troubleshoot, and maintain large and small scale tactical networks. The TACNET role will utilize COTS, GOTS, and Program of Record (POR) hardware and software such as the Combat Operations Center (COC), Combat Data Network (CDN), and Common Hosting Environment (CHE) to create, manage, troubleshoot, and maintain large and small scale tactical networks. These support efforts are provided to military units while deployed, in garrison, in preparation for, and while participating in major exercises and contingency operations.\n\n COC, CDN, and CHE setup, configuration, and troubleshooting guidance.\n\n Interface with FMF personnel and US Government employees to provide break/fix support to USMC tactical networks in a fast paced, high energy environment.\n Research questions using available information resources: technical manual, operating and administrator guides, fleet advisory messages (FAMs), and internal approved knowledge base(s).\n Identify and elevate situations requiring urgent attention.\n Set up, configuration, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance for the CDN, CHE, and legacy Combat Operation Center (COC) Variants (III, and IV).\n Integrating data sharing network with storage, virtualization capabilities, and C4I systems support.\n Tactical networking support to configure virtual local area networks (VLANs), Virtual Trunking Protocol (VTP), port channels, router on a stick, layer 3 switches, Point to Point (PTP) links, Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), route filters, GRE and MGRE tunnels, Internet Protocol Security (IPSec), Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF), Black Core/Colorless routing, multicast, access lists, and TACLANEs.\n\n Education: \n\n Certification listed above accepted in lieu of higher education: And\n Experience equal to degree level\n\n Preferred Skills: \n\n Self starter, with great initiative\n Team player and an effective communicator of highly technical information\n Familiar with ANW2 and MUOS networks.\n Integrating classified networks into network architecture through the use of TACLANEs.\n Microsoft domain replication, domain trusts, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, Windows Deployment Service (WDS), SharePoint, Windows Firewalls, LDAP, SCCM/MECM, Bluecoat Proxy Server, PKI, and FSMO Roles.\n Cisco routing and switching, Unity Connection (CUC), IM & Presence Service (CIMP), CUCM, UCS E,\n VMWARE ESXi, VCSA, VSAN, virtual switching, vMotion, EVC, HA, DRS, and VM templates.\n Administration and troubleshooting of NetApp filer storage, Openfire chat server, C2 applications, Fortigate Firewalls, and Radio over IP communications.\n\n Requirements\n\n TRAVEL REQUIRED FOR POSITION Must be able to obtain or possess a valid US Passport and be physically qualified to support military exercises and contingency operations.\n Experience working with customers, addressing issues, and managing customer concerns and requests over the phone and/or in person.\n Experience supporting Marine Corps C4I systems and equipment.\n Minimum of 3 years’ experience in military training and education.\n Direct participation in real world operations is desired.\n Strong active listening, data entry, and documentation skills.\n Willing to work in a 24x7x365 secured environment, demonstrate intuitive problem solving skills, and allow for flexible scheduling.\n\n Certification Requirements: \n\n CompTIA Security+\n\n Benefits\n\n Paid Vacation, Sick Time and Holidays\n Medical, Dental, Life and Disability Insurance\n 401K with Employer Contribution Matching\n Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business\n Equal Opportunity Employer\n ISO 9001:2015 Certified Company\n www.c4plans.com"
