This opportunity is ideal for compassionate individuals or families who want to positively impact someone&rsquo;s life while welcoming them into a natural home setting.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Eligible Households</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">SSVA welcomes interest from:<br>&nbsp;&bull; Individuals<br>&nbsp;&bull; Couples and partners<br>&nbsp;&bull; Family households, including mother/daughter households</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Homes are preferred to not include children younger than 12 years old.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Applicants must:<br>&nbsp;&bull; Be 21 years of age or older<br>&nbsp;&bull; Hold a high school diploma or GED<br>&nbsp;&bull; Be active within their local community<br>&nbsp;&bull; Have at least six months of professional or personal experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities, preferably adults<br>&nbsp;&bull; Be comfortable using technology and electronic systems<br>&nbsp;&bull; Demonstrate strong written communication skills</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Candidates who do not yet meet experience requirements may qualify for opportunities as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) within other SSVA services to gain experience.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Family members of individuals eligible for sponsored services may apply, although additional approval standards apply for related providers.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Provider Role</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Sponsored Residential Providers partner with Support Services of Virginia as independent subcontractors and are not employees of SSVA.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Providers take an active role in supporting the individual&rsquo;s daily needs, personal growth, and participation within the community.
