Job Summary:
The IT Networking Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, operation, monitoring, and support of the organization’s network infrastructure across all locations. The role ensures high availability, security, and optimal performance of wired and wireless networks, enterprise telephony systems, and related IT infrastructure while providing effective technical support to users and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the design, deployment, and implementation of network infrastructure solutions.
• Provide network support across all organizational locations to ensure uninterrupted connectivity.
• Install, configure, manage, and support wired and wireless network equipment including switches, routers, access points, and enterprise telephony systems (PBX/CUCM).
• Monitor network performance (wired and wireless) and take proactive measures to ensure optimal operation and availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network-related incidents and outages with minimal user impact.
• Coordinate with vendors, partners, service providers, and internal/external stakeholders for network-related activities and escalations.
• Deploy security enhancements, patches, and system upgrades in coordination with senior engineers and the information security team.
• Create, manage, and maintain network user accounts, access permissions, and configurations.
• Provide technical support to end users and infrastructure teams, assisting non-technical users with complex networking issues.
• Create, update, and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Support ongoing network operations to ensure business continuity and compliance with organizational standards.
• Perform any other duties related to network operations as assigned by management from time to time.
Qualifications:
Educational Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / BE / B.Tech / BSc IT or a related field.
Professional Certifications:
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) – Mandatory
Professional Experience:
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in a network administration or network engineering role.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, HP, Avaya, and Juniper switches, routers, access points, and enterprise telephony solutions is preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
• Strong fundamental knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
• Proven experience in network engineering, network operations, and performance analysis.
• Excellent hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with network management, monitoring, and diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of computing infrastructure and enterprise IT environments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to support non-technical users effectively.
