This role supports a critical intelligence analysis platform integrating multiple systems focused on weapon and emerging technology analysis and assessment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in database engineering, data management processes, and performance optimization while working directly with customers to deliver scalable, high-performing data solutions.</p>\n<h2>What You’ll Do</h2>\n<h3>Database Engineering & Architecture</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop and maintain modern, scalable database architectures</li>\n <li>Support high-volume, multi-format data management services using a data-first approach</li>\n <li>Design and implement efficient storage, indexing, and data access strategies</li>\n <li>Perform continuous database performance tuning and optimization</li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Data Management & Integration</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Design and implement indexing and data cleansing strategies for ingested datasets</li>\n <li>Maintain large-scale data management solutions and enterprise data environments</li>\n <li>Update data enterprise architecture models and abstraction layers to support new data sources</li>\n <li>Ensure data is well-structured, properly classified, and accessible through APIs</li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Customer & Mission Support</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Collaborate directly with customers and end users to support iterative development efforts</li>\n <li>Communicate progress related to data architecture, migration activities, entity resolution, and data quality improvements</li>\n <li>Support deployment, maintenance, tuning, and enhancement of operational database systems</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Location: This position in fully onsite in Huntsville, AL</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Peraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap and participation in an attractive bonus plan.</p>\n<h2>Required Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, OR\n  <ul>\n   <li>Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, OR</li>\n   <li>PhD with 3+ years of relevant experience</li>\n   <li>An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL, and database performance tuning</li>\n <li>Experience installing application software in operational environments</li>\n <li>Data modeling experience</li>\n <li>Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a polygraph</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Desired Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Security+ and/or DoD IAT Level II certification</li>\n <li>Familiarity with ArangoDB, MongoDB, and/or graph database technologies</li>\n <li>Experience with:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Containerization technologies</li>\n   <li>API design and development</li>\n   <li>Data visualization tools</li>\n   <li>Social network analysis</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Peraton Overview</h2>\n<p>Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
