We promote teamwork and recognize the individual contribution everyone makes to the overall success of the company.</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>SUMMARY: &nbsp;&nbsp;</strong>The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for developing and executing finished product demand and inventory plans to meet sales and service objectives as well as coordinating shipping and logistics at the plant level. &nbsp; Responsibilities also include managing raw and packaging material to adequately support production. &nbsp;This position will collaborate with other members of the Supply Chain such as Operations, Sales, and Customer Service teams to ensure the consistent, cost-effective supply of products to customers. In this role, you will help sustain Mennel&rsquo;s tradition of excellence established in 1886 as well as support our food safety programs and mission to reliably deliver superior quality, uniformity, and service</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>PRIMARY WORK SHIFT:</strong> Works first shift (7:00AM - 3:00PM) and overtime as required.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:&nbsp;</strong></p><p><em>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without accommodation. Mennel locations may vary in operational processes and equipment.</em></p><ul><li>Follow all food and personal safety rules and regulations in respect to GMP&rsquo;s, OSHA, HACCP, the Global Food Safety Initiative, the US FDA Food Safety Modernization Act as stated in the FS&amp;Q Statement, and sanitation guidelines as set forth by the company as listed in Corporate Health, Safety &amp; Environmental (HSE) and attend all required training sessions. Maintain the department/facility in an everyday audit ready condition.</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Coordinates finished product storage, warehouse operations, outbound logistics, transportation, and inbound ingredient and packaging material inventories.</li><li>Works directly with warehouse operators to execute daily shipments &amp; inbound deliveries.</li><li>Works with plant production planner to ensure production aligns with demand &amp; inventory.</li><li>Reviews capacity against demand, forecast and warehouse needs/capability.</li><li>Manages proper inventory levels of raw materials and packaging supplies.</li><li>Recognizes material and capacity problems, review alternatives and make decisions which will result in optimizing available resources.</li><li>Tracks and orders raw ingredients and packaging/production materials in a timely and accurate manner.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintains appropriate inventory level targets with consideration to space and cost.&nbsp;</li><li>Communicates material issues to procurement, transportation, production planners, schedulers, management and all other levels as necessary.</li><li>Oversees demand planning and management processes for new and existing products.</li><li>Is the main point of contact or lead for Mennel logistics operations.</li><li>Assists production with various tasks and troubleshooting as necessary.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><p>This position will work in conjunction with Team Leads or Lead Operators and will manage logistics activities on their assigned shift. Locations will vary.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS: &nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p><p><em>The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job</em><em>.&nbsp;</em></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain preferred, or equivalent experience preferred.</li><li>Minimum 3 years work experience in Production, Planning and Scheduling.</li><li>Record of successful production and logistics management including applicable software.</li><li>Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff.</li><li>Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and juggle multiple and changing priorities.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp; &nbsp;</p><p><strong>LANGUAGE SKILLS:</strong></p><p>Ability&nbsp;to&nbsp;read&nbsp;and&nbsp;comprehend&nbsp;simple&nbsp;instructions,&nbsp;short&nbsp;correspondence,&nbsp;memos,&nbsp;procedures,&nbsp;and&nbsp;plans.&nbsp;Ability&nbsp;to write, complete checklists and other basic documentation and correspondence.
