Description

The rangers support the city and its Parks and Recreation Department by helping visitors and residents throughout Sedona; ensuring safety at events and appropriate use of parks; providing education about Sedona's cultural and natural heritage and amenities; and performing light trail conservation and maintenance work. In their role as city ambassadors rangers talk to visitors, merchants and residents, provide information and directions, liaison with city staff members to address maintenance issues and concerns, provide event parking and traffic control, and help with event planning and new program implementation. In an emergency, rangers may assist police and fire personnel.
