Senior Engineering Test Specialist – Vehicle Systems

Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. is a leading global manufacturer of golf cars, utility and personal transportation vehicles, professional turf-care equipment, and ground support equipment. Textron Specialized Vehicles markets products under several different brands. Its vehicles are found in environments ranging from golf courses to factories, airports to planned communities, and theme parks to hunting preserves. Responsibilities: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for various systems and components, ensuring adherence to industry standards and specifications. Operate, maintain, and calibrate advanced testing equipment (e.g., Edaq, thermocouples, strain gauges, current clamps, load cells, PLC, etc.) and manage scheduled maintenance. Collect, analyze, and document test data, providing detailed reports and actionable insights to support product development and improvement. Identify and resolve complex issues during testing, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques. Design, plan, develop, and build new test equipment to meet evolving testing requirements and improve testing efficiency. Work closely with design, automotive, electronics, electrical, industrial maintenance, and mechanical teams to ensure seamless integration of testing processes and results. Facilitate cross-training and skill development opportunities for team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning. Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and lead advanced safety training initiatives. Drive quality assurance by aligning testing with standards, updating SOPs, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred. Years of Experience: 6 years or more of experience required. Extensive experience in a testing or engineering environment, preferably in automotive or golf cart manufacturing. Software Knowledge: Microsoft Office Suite Additional Requirements: Valued Certifications: CET, CETma, IND, CIS, CNCT, CETa, PLC Technician, Powertrain Testing, Automotive Technologies Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred.
