This role works collaboratively with staff, families, and community partners to address behavioral, emotional, and social needs while fostering a positive and inclusive school environment for a diverse student population. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish and a New Jersey School Social Worker certification are preferred.</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong></p><p>&bull; Provide direct social work services to students, addressing behavioral, emotional, and social needs<br>&nbsp;&bull; Manage a caseload of students, maintaining accurate, timely, and confidential documentation<br>&nbsp;&bull; Collaborate with teachers, administration, and the IEP team to support student success and implementation of individualized plans<br>&nbsp;&bull; Respond to student crises and support the development and implementation of crisis intervention plans<br>&nbsp;&bull; Partner with families and community agencies to coordinate services and support student and family needs<br>&nbsp;&bull; Participate in child study team processes, intakes, and case management meetings<br>&nbsp;&bull; Develop and facilitate parent groups and provide guidance to families in a confidential and supportive manner<br>&nbsp;&bull; Serve as a student advocate and support positive school climate initiatives<br>&nbsp;&bull; Communicate and collaborate with external agencies, including Social Services, Mental Health, and Developmental Disabilities<br>&nbsp;&bull; Serve as the designated reporter for child abuse/neglect and conduct mandated reporter training<br>&nbsp;&bull; Support staff understanding of the social work role and collaborate to address student needs across settings<br>&nbsp;&bull; Maintain compliance with school policies, as well as state and federal laws and regulations<br>&nbsp;&bull; Utilize technology and data systems to support documentation and communication<br>&nbsp;&bull; Demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills<br>&nbsp;&bull; Attend required meetings, maintain consistent attendance, and perform other duties as assigned</p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Master&rsquo;s degree in Social Work or a related field required</li><li>Valid New Jersey School Social Worker certification required</li><li>Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred</li><li>Experience working with students with special needs or in a related setting preferred</li><li>Experience working within a school-based or IEP-driven environment preferred</li><li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team</li><li>Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license, reliable transportation, and current insurance</li><li>Approval of Criminal History Review from the New Jersey Department of Education required</li></ul><p><strong>WORK SCHEDULE &amp; COMPENSATION:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Schedule: Monday&ndash;Friday, 8:30 AM &ndash; 3:30 PM</li><li>Hours: 35 hours per week</li><li>Contract: 48-week position</li><li>Compensation: $30&ndash;$40 per hour</li><li>Benefits: Eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as participation in the school&rsquo;s retirement plan and paid time off in accordance with school policy.
