Description

Summary The Inventory Manager’s overall responsibility is to oversee the organization, ordering and stocking of over $400,000 in parts inventory and $200,000 in monthly purchases. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Ensure all policies and procedures are being followed Suggest modifications to policies and procedures to Branch Manager and HR Review previous day’s open items to include: Orders Parts sales Ensures support of machine shop with needed materials/assist in machining Issues parts credits and restocks returned materials Verifies mechanics work schedule to ensure parts/material availability Locates within inventory difficult to find parts (rebuilt units) Salvages reusable parts for scrap Supports other RTS facilities Weekly, reconciles invoices, miscellaneous purchase orders As needed, conducts cycle counts Two times per year, scraps AFA parts Attends quarterly management budget review Organized record keeping or some filing may be required. Other duties may be assigned Qualifications to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Organizational Support- Follows policies and procedures; completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; supports organization’s goals and values. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or GED; or two to five years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills Good written and verbal skills Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment are quite noisy due to the equipment used in plants and vehicles that are being repaired
