    "description": "<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">In-Home Care Providers live with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and provide the appropriate level of assistance and supports who are living in apartments so they can enjoy living an independent life.   </span><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">The in-home care provider will assist the person with meal preparation, and household cleaning and work toward the person’s fullest potential and foster independence.   </span><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Independent Contractors promote person centered concepts, inclusion of individuals with IDD into the community and being involved in activities that increase independence and achieve the highest quality of life. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">In-Home Care Providers are independent contractors.   Independent Contractors are not employees of FRIENDS of Broomfield.  FRIENDS of Broomfield will not withhold federal, state, or local income tax or pay FICA tax or unemployment tax, workers’ compensation insurance or other insurance on the contractor’s behalf.  Independent Contractors are not eligible for employment benefits of any kind. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">In-Home Care Providers will have their own bedroom and bathroom and share common living space, kitchen and washer and dryer.  </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 15px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">In-home Care Providers are required to:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Be 18 years of age or older</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Pass a criminal background check (required by the State of Colorado)</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Have a valid email address, Internet, phone and computer</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Safely lift 50 pounds</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Complete daily documentation</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Facilitate monthly Safety and Fire Drills</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Actively engage individuals with IDD in community activities</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Example of In-home Care Provider Services</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Offer appropriate level of assistance and support to individuals during various activities of daily living</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Assist with meal preparation, household cleaning, laundry</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Assist with medical care, including appointments</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Administer medications as prescribed</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Assist with budgeting and finances</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Provide transportation during scheduled service hours in accordance with completing the individual’s Individual Plan (IP) goals</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Participate in annual IP meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings as needed</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Help individuals obtain and maintain daily living skills and work toward their fullest potential to foster independence</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Include individual in family life and activities</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Accompany and support individual in community activities including shopping, recreation and leisure activities, etc.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Assist with hygiene care, dressing and grooming</span></li>\n</ul>",
