With global locations, technologies and products, 3M is a place where you can collaborate with other curious, creative 3Mers.</span></p><p></p><p><b><span>This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career.</span></b></p><p><b>Job Description:</b></p><p>The person hired for the position of <b><u>Production Operator</u></b> will work at our <b>Moncure/Pittsboro, NC site.</b></p><p>As a <b><u>Production Operator</u></b> you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world.</p><p><br /><b><i>Here, you will make an impact by:</i></b></p><p></p><ul><li>Ensure consistent, high-quality production by operating machinery, assembling products, packaging finished goods, and inspecting output to meet quality standards</li><li>Support on-time delivery and customer satisfaction by following established operating procedures and customer specifications</li><li>Drive efficient operations by accurately using computer systems to run production processes, enter data, and maintain inventory records</li><li>Increase operational flexibility and team effectiveness through cross-training and operation of equipment across multiple areas, including mixing, tripper floor, coloring, C&amp;S operations, and shipping</li><li>Maintain steady production flow by providing break relief for team members and supporting uninterrupted operations</li><li>Improve process reliability and product quality by performing and analyzing standard and non-standard manufacturing tests and making informed process decisions</li><li>Reduce downtime and support safe, efficient operations through visual inspections, preventative maintenance, and strong housekeeping practices</li><li>Strengthen teamwork and problem-solving by clearly communicating process status, issues, and improvement opportunities with fellow team members</li><li>Deliver accuracy and consistency by operating production-related computer systems and sampling, splitting, and grading equipment at a high level of precision</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>Your Skills and Expertise  </b><br /><b><i>To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:</i></b></p><ul><li>Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher completed and verified prior to start</li><li>Must be able to work a flexible schedule and overtime as needed</li></ul><p></p><p><b><i>Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:</i></b></p><p></p><ul><li>1 year of manufacturing experience</li></ul><p></p><p><b><u>Applicants who meet the basic qualifications above will be required to take and pass 3M elected testing as a part of the selection process</u></b></p><p></p><p></p><p><b><u><span>Work Location:</span></u></b> <b>Moncure<i>/Pittsboro, NC</i> <span>plant site. </span></b></p><p></p><p></p><p><b><span>Travel:</span></b><span> None</span></p><p><b><span>Relocation Assistance:</span></b><span> NA</span></p><p></p><p><b>Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).</b></p><p></p><p><b><u>Pay Transparency: </u></b></p><p></p><p><b>The starting rate of pay for this position is $23.92 per hour.</b> This represents a good faith estimate for this position.
