This role manages maintenance personnel, vendor relationships, preventive maintenance programs, and ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations (including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration standards).</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:&nbsp;</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assumes full management responsibility for the entire maintenance department including maintenance and parts control, compliance, quality assurance and warranty administration of vehicles; recommends and administers policies and procedures.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Selects, trains, motivates and evaluates assigned personnel; provides or coordinates staff training; works with employees to correct deficiencies; implements discipline and termination procedures.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ensure compliance with DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, including inspections, maintenance records, and out-of-service criteria.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Develop and enforce preventive maintenance (PM) schedules to minimize downtime and extend asset life.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Plans, directs and coordinates, through subordinate level staff, the department&#39;s work plan; assigns projects and programmatic areas of responsibility; reviews and evaluates work methods and procedures; meets with key staff to identify and resolve problems.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain accurate documentation for audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Directs, monitors and participates in the preparation of a variety of periodic and special reports such as KPI.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Oversees and participates in the development and administration of the department budget; approves the forecast of funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials and supplies; approves expenditures and implements budgetary adjustments as appropriate and necessary.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">&quot;Manage relationships with external vendors, parts suppliers, and service providers.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ensure proper inventory control of parts, tools, and equipment</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Other duties as assigned</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>EXPERIENCE:&nbsp;</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">7 - 10 years of job-related experience - required.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>EDUCATION:&nbsp;</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Minimum Formal Education:</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Four-year bachelor&rsquo;s degree or equivalent experience</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>LICENSES and CERTIFICATIONS:&nbsp;</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Required.</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Diesel Mechanic Certification (ASE)</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Brake Inspector Certification (FMCSA Regulation 49 CFR)</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">OSHA 30-Hour Certification</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
