This role requires collaboration with various departments to ensure a safe and compliant workplace. The EHS Manager should be well-versed in industry regulations, have strong leadership skills, and be dedicated to cultivating a culture of safety.<br><br>&nbsp;Candidates should be located in or near Oakridge, TN, or be willing to relocate for the duration of the project.</p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Develop, implement, and oversee company-wide EHS policies, procedures, and programs.</li><li>Ensure alignment of EHS initiatives with organizational objectives and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.</li><li>Organize, conduct, and oversee training programs to educate employees on necessary safety protocols and regulations.</li><li>Periodically evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as needed.</li><li>Regularly assess workplace environments, equipment, and practices for compliance and identify potential hazards.</li><li>Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including emergency response plans.</li><li>Investigate and document any workplace accidents, near-misses, or other incidents.</li><li>Collaborate with departments to implement corrective actions and reduce recurrence.</li><li>Stay updated with relevant EHS regulations and industry standards.</li><li>Ensure all company operations and activities are compliant with local, state, and federal EHS regulations.</li><li>Prepare for, and lead, audits from regulatory agencies.</li><li>Track, analyze, and report on EHS metrics to monitor performance.</li><li>Make recommendations to senior management based on analysis and trends.</li><li>Engage with employees at all levels to promote and develop a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.</li><li>Collaborate with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, vendors, and industry groups.</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation and records related to job functions.</li><li>Participate in required training sessions and safety briefings.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned to meet operational needs.</li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Bachelor&#39;s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field. Master&rsquo;s degree or professional certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional) are a plus.</li><li>3-5 years of experience in an EHS role, with prior managerial experience.</li><li>Comprehensive knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.</li><li>Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and patterns.</li><li>Proficient in using EHS management software and tools.</li><li>Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 experience is REQUIRED.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ability to lift and/or move a minimum of 25 pounds</li><li>Ability to visually inspect and interpret data or details</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats</li><li>Ability to remain in a stationary position (e.g., sitting or standing) in an office setting for extended periods of time</li><li>Ability to move throughout the work environment, including bending, reaching, walking, and climbing stairs</li><li>Frequent use of hands to operate computer systems, tools, or equipment</li></ul><p><strong>Equal Employment Opportunity&nbsp;</strong></p><p>BGI is proud to be an <strong>Equal Opportunity Employer</strong>.
