This role is critical to maintaining a safe work environment while executing precise and efficient crane operations. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional situational awareness, strong communication skills, and a proactive commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Verify rigging configurations and ensure all loads are properly secured </li>\n <li>Maintain clear, constant communication with spotters, riggers, and signal persons</li>\n <li>Establish and maintain a secure lifting zone. Monitor weather conditions, site activity, and environmental risks</li>\n <li>Exercise stop-work authority when safety concerns or hazards are identified</li>\n <li>Perform daily pre-operational inspections of crane components</li>\n <li>Ensure wire rope is properly seated and all mechanical systems are functioning safely and efficiently</li>\n <li>Report equipment deficiencies promptly and coordinate necessary maintenance or repairs</li>\n <li>Review lift plans, blueprints, and load charts to determine appropriate crane configuration, counterweight requirements, and safe lifting capacity</li>\n <li>Safely operate cranes to lift, move, and position materials with precision while strictly adhering to load limits and manufacturer specifications</li>\n <li>Ensure proper boom setup, swing radius awareness, and safe load path planning</li>\n <li>Identify and mitigate hazards such as overhead power lines, obstructions, and congested work areas</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards</li>\n <li>Adhere to all federal, state, and site-specific safety regulations and protocols</li>\n <li>Participate in safety meetings, audits, and ongoing training initiatives</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum 5+ years of construction safety experience</li>\n <li>Experience operating cranes on commercial or industrial construction projects</li>\n <li>High level of situational awareness, attention to detail, and risk assessment ability</li>\n <li>Proven ability to read and interpret load charts, lift plans, and crane capacity manuals</li>\n <li>• NCCCO (or equivalent) Crane Operator Certification preferred</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal and written skills</li>\n <li><p>Embody HazTek's Core Values of Integrity, Compassion, Dependability, Leadership, Accountability</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>HazTek Safety Management is a full-service, objective safety partner, founded in 1997.
