Description

Position Summary Acuren is currently recruiting for level II RT Technicians to support our operation in North Salt Lake City, Utah. We are currently seeking local candidates based in North Salt Lake City, UT or the surrounding area, or individuals who are open to relocating. While we welcome applications from all qualified candidates, local availability or a willingness to relocate is preferred due to the nature of this role. Level II RT Technicians shall be familiar with the scope and limitations of the method of NDT being utilized and exercise assigned responsibility for on the job training and guidance of assistants and Level I Technicians. Must be able to provide current or prior copies of certifications in methods as well as classroom documentation. Must be willing to travel. Responsibilities Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators Organize and report test results Perform specialized inspections May instruct and supervise others Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Some college preferred Certified Level II RT(classroom and on the job training & certifications) Minimum 1-2 years of experience in industrial CR/DR or NDT (entry-level candidates with relevant certifications considered).
