It was the <strong>first home in the province to implement the Butterfly Model of Care</strong>, pioneering a shift from task‑based care to <strong>emotion‑based, relationship‑centred care</strong> for people living with dementia. </p>\n<p>Today, Malton Village continues to lead, with:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Established <strong>Butterfly home areas</strong> supporting residents with dementia through <strong>service hub</strong> including Adult Day Services, respite care, dental and primary care supports, and specialized geriatric services </li>\n <li>An <strong>Integrated Care Centre</strong> you will lead one of these homes with full responsibility for <strong>operations, quality, people, and performance</strong>, aligned to the <strong>Seniors Services Strategic Plan (2024–2029)</strong>:</p>\n<h3><strong>Cultivate a Resilient and Empowered Workforce</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead and support a large, interdisciplinary team in a complex, unionized Long‑Term Care Act, 2021</strong></li>\n <li>Advance emotion‑based and person‑centred care approaches, including Butterfly Model principles</li>\n <li>Use quality indicators and feedback to drive continuous improvement</li>\n</ul>\n<h3><strong>Facilitate Integrated Care through Collaboration</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Strengthen partnerships across the health system, community, and We’re Looking For</strong></h2>\n<h3>Education and Experience</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Post‑secondary degree in Health Sciences, Management, Business, Public Administration, or a related field.</li>\n <li>Minimum <strong>five (5) years of progressive leadership experience</strong> in long‑term care.</li>\n <li>Completion of a <strong>long‑term care home administration/management program</strong> (minimum 100 hours).</li>\n <li>Experience working with the Butterfly Model of Care or other emotion-based care philosophies.</li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Knowledge and Skills</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Comprehensive knowledge of applicable legislation and standards, including the <strong>Fixing Long‑Term Care Act, 2021</strong> and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to lead effectively in a <strong>unionized environment</strong>, managing complexity and competing priorities.</li>\n <li>Strong financial management, budgeting, and operational planning expertise.</li>\n <li>Proven experience leading quality improvement, risk management, and regulatory compliance.</li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills for engaging with residents, families, staff, unions, senior leadership, and external partners, and for preparing reports, policies, and recommendations.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development,
