    "description": "<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p>MAG Aerospace is looking for a Systems Engineer to lead engineering efforts on assigned programs supporting PEO Soldier.</p>\n<h2>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Duties include, but not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Serves as Lead Systems Engineer on assigned DOD C5ISR system development programs, with duties as identified below.</li>\n <li>Requires a thorough knowledge of the Systems Engineering Management Process and Implementation, as applied to the Department of Army/DOD Acquisition process throughout all life cycle phases; knowledge of DOD policies on Systems Engineering, Integrated Product and Process Development (IPPD) and IPT Management; and ability to coordinate and negotiate design and engineering activities with other related programs and organizations. </li>\n <li>Manages systems engineering activities including requirements analyses, functional analyses, design solutions formulation, systems analysis and control, and generation and maintenance of systems architecture products. </li>\n <li>Provides technical support and analysis in evaluation of sensor prototypes and systems, to include thermal imagers, image intensifiers, and lasers, to Program Executive Office (PEO) Soldier Project Manager (PM) partners.</li>\n <li>Recommend approaches to implement electro optic (EO) system level components into prototypes capable of achieving user requirements.</li>\n <li>Applies system engineering principles and procedures to translate quantified needs/requirements into system performance parameters and the identification of system/item configuration.</li>\n <li>Formulates and issues systems engineering documents, processes, procedures and milestones. </li>\n <li>Provides expert and authoritative advice affecting critical programs and technologies.</li>\n <li>Serves as subject matter expert for all technical aspects of assigned program.                                                   </li>\n <li>Performs top level design, development, integration, testing, installation, and troubleshooting.                  </li>\n <li>Translates military operational and mission requirements into practical system concepts and performance specifications.  </li>\n <li>Develops and maintains technical documentation such as specifications, engineering drawings, system interface requirements, and engineering changes.</li>\n <li>Participates in post awards, program reviews, design reviews, and IPTs as the project engineer and/or technical expert on assigned programs.                        </li>\n <li>Evaluates design efforts to ensure integration of all the engineering disciplines and adequacy of the analyses performed, bringing in additional technical expertise as needed.                                                                                                                </li>\n <li>Reviews test plans, procedures, and reports for technical adequacy on assigned programs, for both</li>\n <li>Government and contractor tests, as well as all failure reports.                                      </li>\n <li>Reviews and evaluates system performance against specification requirements, monitors and assesses field performance, and assesses risk of meeting user and specification requirements.</li>\n <li>Initiates engineering change proposals and waivers/deviations as required, and conduct physical and functional configuration audits</li>\n <li>Reviews program management documents to ensure accuracy and adequacy of technical content.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>BS Engineering and > 20 years relevant experience or MS Engineering Equivalent and > 15 years of experience</li>\n <li>Subject matter expert for Systems Engineering, and has the ability to lead engineering efforts on assigned programs with minimal oversight from the Government lead.</li>\n <li>An active Secret DoD clearance</li>\n</ul>\n<p>PREFERRED</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as consultant to other team members and mentor workforce on electro-optic system development, prototyping, integrating, and testing electro-optic sensor systems.</li>\n <li>Evaluate system electro-optic engineering technologies used on past programs and establish new and innovative engineering strategies.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Special Note</h2>\n<p>The position is contingent upon candidate’s ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements.</p>\n<h2>Benefits and Compensation</h2>At MAG Aerospace, we value your contributions providing our employees with a robust Total Rewards package that supports your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $100,000 to $180,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.",
