This role manages a team of Buyers and oversees the supplier database, including supplier capabilities, cost analysis, and key performance indicators. The Category Manager provides supplier pricing and market analysis to support contract negotiations and ensure optimal sourcing strategies across all managed service categories</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Executes daily purchases as appropriate</li>\n <li>Works within cross-functional teams in RFx development and execution</li>\n <li>Performs cost/value analysis of supplier products or services</li>\n <li>Maintains supplier information within supplier database</li>\n <li>Monitors trends in the service supply or product markets</li>\n <li>Monitors service levels and takes corrective action when necessary</li>\n <li>Negotiates agreements (SOW, SLA, etc) with potential suppliers</li>\n <li>Investigates and initiates alternate sourcing as appropriate</li>\n <li>Investigates and initiates cost savings opportunities</li>\n <li>Analyzes and corrects as necessary Accounts Payable discrepancies</li>\n <li>Formulates strategic sourcing options</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Four year degree in business, supply chain management or equivalent combination of education and experience</li>\n <li>Minimum five years experience is preferred in general procurement with high customer service requirement</li>\n <li>C.P.S.M. desirable</li>\n <li>Proficiency is required in Microsoft applications with emphasis on Microsoft Excel</li>\n <li>Proficiency in E-Sourcing tools and their applications an advantage</li>\n <li>Experience in ERP systems (SAP preferred)</li>\n <li>Ability to review and understand general instructions</li>\n <li>Strong problem solving skills</li>\n <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li>\n <li>Assists in the training of new employees</li>\n <li>Ensures that the team can adapt to new situations, issues and objectives</li>\n <li>Encourages creative ideas and develops solutions that benefit the business</li>\n <li>Translates business goals into concrete objectives and individual performance plans</li>\n <li>Recognizes and respects differences</li>\n <li>Focuses the team’s attention on goals and objectives during times of uncertainty</li>\n <li>Focuses the team on increasing customer satisfaction through the implementation of higher value solutions</li>\n <li>Ensures self, team members and customers are effectively working together</li>\n <li>Solid knowledge and support of formal RFx processes and sourcing/procurement activities</li>\n <li>Facilities management understanding</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Equal Opportunity Employer</h2>As a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
