Description
MISO is seeking a highly skilled Engineer III System Modeling to help shape the future of the grid. In this role, you’ll develop and maintain the mathematical models that represent the transmission and generation system across both current and long range planning horizons. You’ll analyze complex and often unpredictable system behavior, apply advanced engineering techniques, and evaluate risks to support reliability, economic, and policy studies. As a senior contributor, you will lead major modeling initiatives—including ERAG MMWG case development and MISO’s MTEP and PRA processes—while ensuring compliance with NERC MOD/TPL standards and supporting the organization’s evolving modeling strategy.
