The Registered Nurse functions within the scope of practice as defined by the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Washington, SGNA Standards of Practice and the American Nurses&rsquo; Association Code of Ethics.</p><p><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">&nbsp;</span></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong>: &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><ul><li>Assesses and evaluates the biophysical, psychological, and social aspects affecting care</li><li>Organizes and implements a plan of care based on the assessment for each patient</li><li>Evaluates plan of care and makes changes as necessary</li><li>Identifies pertinent patient history during admission process</li><li>Assesses patient&rsquo;s needs continually from admission to discharge.</li><li>Initiates the care of each patient and relates needed information to MD and staff&nbsp;</li><li>Serves as a patient advocate to assure safe, efficient procedures and quality care</li><li>Evaluates patient responses; provides care as indicated&nbsp;</li><li>Verifies completed charts and records to meet quality improvement goals&nbsp;</li><li>Coordinates all discharge instructions for improved patient and family compliance.&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize work</li><li>Offers and implements suggestions to provide improved patient care&nbsp;</li><li>Maintains a current knowledge of medications, especially as related to GI Participates in in-services and continuing education opportunities&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrates knowledge of GI skills for all areas of the unit including admission, conscious sedation, procedure assisting, recovery, discharge, and patient education&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrates consistent IV therapy skills</li><li>Demonstrates knowledge of preparation, administration, contraindications and side effects of all medications used during procedures and emergencies</li><li>Documents all pertinent information accurately, completely and legibly in a timely manner&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrates and utilizes knowledge of infection prevention/safety.&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrates ability to retrieve and label specimens, and document correctly on appropriate records. Completes all department forms and records as indicated.&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrates the ability to initiate and direct life support measures and perform effectively in &ldquo;Code&rdquo; situations.&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrates the ability to clean and properly care for all equipment.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><em><u>&nbsp;</u></em></p><p><strong><em>Qualifications</em></strong></p><ul><li>Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Washington</li><li>Previous clinical or gastroenterology experience preferred</li><li>Current BLS and ACLS certification</li><li>Ability to actively collaborate and build a strong team within the Center and with the rest of WAGI</li><li>As a healthcare organization, the candidate must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. &nbsp;WAGI will consider requests for religious or medical accommodation exemptions from this requirement as allowed under the Mandate at the time of Job Offer through Human Resources. &nbsp;Your vaccination status is confidential information not to be shared with the Hiring Manager</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Physical Activities and Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Occasional travel may be required to other local locations on an as-needed basis to back-fill for vacations, etc.</li><li>Ability to stand and walk throughout the day, up to 10 hours per day</li><li>Prolonged periods of sitting and performing administrative duties including the use of computers</li><li>Ability to bend, twist, stoop, and reach</li><li>Able to lift and carry supplies and equipment as needed (up to 15 pounds)</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Compensation and Benefits</strong></p><ul><li><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Employees (and their families) who work full time (defined as working 30 or more hours per week) will be eligible for&nbsp;</span><strong style=\"background-color: transparent;\">medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, accidental death and dismemberment, and basic life insurance</strong><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">. &nbsp;In addition employees are able to enroll in our company&rsquo;s</span><strong style=\"background-color: transparent;\">&nbsp;401(k)</strong><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">&nbsp;plan which includes a company provided safe harbor contribution of 3% of annual earnings and the potential for a company discretionary profit sharing contribution.</span></li><li>All employees will be eligible to accrue <strong>PTO</strong> at a rate of .04 hours per payroll hour (1.6 hours for a 40 hour week) which can be used for and exceeds the required mandatory WA State and other local ordinances. &nbsp;In addition, full time employees will be eligible for a <strong>Vacation</strong> accrual with a maximum annual accrual of 77 hours as a new hire.&nbsp;</li><li>WAGI has 8 standard <strong>Holidays</strong> each year for which full time employees are eligible to receive paid holiday. &nbsp;In addition, full time employees will be given 1 <strong>Float Holiday</strong> each year that they can schedule.</li><li>A new hire full time employee in this role will be eligible for a <strong>Hiring Bonus&nbsp;</strong>in the amount of<strong>&nbsp;$3,000.00</strong></li><li>This is an <strong>Hourly&nbsp;</strong>position and the anticipated <strong>Compensation</strong> range is <strong>$38.00-$47.50.&nbsp;</strong>The hired applicant is also eligible for annual discretionary bonuses.</li></ul></div></div></div><p><link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/22.46.11/styles/froala_style.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\"><link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/22.46.11/styles/froala_style.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\"></p>\n    </div>\n  </div>\n<br/>Mon-Fri<br/>40",
