Description

Primary Function: Provide overall supervision and direction of production operations. Supports all administrative aspects of production and supervises all production departments. Schedule: Monday - Friday 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM Responsibilities and Duties: This information is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. Team member may perform other duties as assigned. Responsible for supervising and scheduling production team members. Provides new team member safety orientation and documented training. Ensure safe working practices and environment with ongoing training and re-evaluation of equipment functionality and operators’ knowledge Responsible for on-time documented employee training completion with passing score when applicable. Ability to setup training sessions and properly document training Enforce adherence to all current plant policies and effectively train and roll out new policies Evaluate and drive production efficiencies to align with production schedule and performance standards Responsible for monitoring efficiencies and communicating needed information to entire production line Adherence to production schedule and communication to warehouse of any delayed production to align with shipping and customer relations Coordinates scheduling with Production Floor Lead Monitors daily operations to identify and resolve problem areas related to staffing, scheduling, tooling, quality, and production line arrangement. Recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions. Review and update all manufacturing SOP’s annually Review BOM from ERP system against actual production usages for accuracy for all production. Coordinate new sample requests with scheduling and ensure timely completion and accurate documentation of process through shipping to allow for production repetition upon order. Responsible for creating new item cards, creating new BOM, and attaching BOM in ERP system for all new items prior to sampling. Update item number upon sample approval. Assist in new product bill of material information for accurate costing. Responsible for posting credit for subassemblies and finished products accurately into ERP system. Monitors raw materials and reports any discrepancies or concerns to supply chain team Reports any deviation from standard process in a timely fashion Performs manufacturing projects Identifies maintenance needs of facility and equipment and enters work order request. Develops and distributes production reports and maintains digital records Maintaining databases for production data including but not limited to: Batch test results, Downtime Records, Sanitation records Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure food safety standards are met or exceeded Assists in creating and reviewing new labels Monitors samples needed for Production and Quality Assurance. Processes and approves production timecards. Enforce compliance with lunch and break regulations. Ensure all OT is approved and schedule is updated in ADP system. Maintains attendance and personnel records. Maintains sanitation schedule and ensure on time completion of sanitation tasks. Communicates directly with other departments and employees on issues such as payroll, product, and raw material supply. Qualifications : Requires a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing and production with at least two years supervisory experience or equivalent preferred. Minimum 1-year administrative office experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting. ERP knowledge required along with PC knowledge (word processing, database, and spreadsheet). Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently are required. Must work comfortably in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and be able to handle multiple tasks at one time. Physical Activities: Requires mobility. Physical setting may be in office, plant, or warehouse. Requires telephone communication skills, basic math skills, basic reading and writing skills. Requires ability to see and distinguish fine differentiation in color, detail, and design. Office and manufacturing floor setting. Involves sitting, standing, walking, and communication abilities. Environment may be loud at times. May be subject to temperature changes. Use of standard office equipment.
