As a Paid Social Buyer at Hearst Magazines, you’ll play a key role in driving performance across social platforms, using data, creativity, and collaboration to deliver impactful campaigns that connect readers with world-class content. Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing) Launch and manage paid social media campaigns across platforms including Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, and Pinterest. Set up ads, select creative assets, and write or edit ad copy to support campaign objectives. Monitor campaign pacing, delivery, and overall performance to ensure success against KPIs. Analyze campaign data and reporting metrics including click-through-rate, engagement, video completion rates, and page views to identify optimization opportunities. Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Ad Operations, and Editorial teams to support campaign strategy and execution. Provide insights and recommendations on targeting strategies, platform capabilities, and campaign performance. Contribute ideas and best practices during team brainstorming sessions to help improve campaign effectiveness and innovation. Stay informed on emerging social platforms, trends, and paid media opportunities to continuously evolve campaign strategies. Qualifications (What We’re Looking For) 2+ years of experience in paid social media buying, digital advertising, or a related field. Familiarity with major social media platforms and a strong understanding of both established and emerging channels. Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret campaign performance data and identify actionable insights. Comfortable working in Excel and/or Google Sheets. Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills. Experience with paid social buying tools is a plus. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred. This role is based in NYC and follows a hybrid schedule with in-office attendance required 4 days per week.
