Overview Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking a Risk Cost Analyst to join our Transportation Sector. The Risk Cost Analyst role is part of the Project Controls and Project Financial team, supporting the program’s risk and cost management activities. This position is responsible for gathering data, conducting risk and cost analyses, preparing reports, and maintaining documentation to help ensure risks and related costs are effectively tracked, evaluated, and managed. Responsibilities Assist in gathering data for risk and cost assessments across project processes Support the monitoring of project cost drivers, market factors, and external conditions that may affect budgets and risk exposure Perform preliminary analyses using established qualitative and quantitative methods, including cost modeling and scenario analysis Assist in integrating risk findings into cost estimates, forecasts, and contingency planning efforts Support the development and tracking of risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with project controls, estimating, and scheduling teams Prepare draft reports, presentations, and summaries for review by senior risk and cost analysts Maintain organized and up-to-date records of risk registers, cost assessments, and supporting documentation Provide general administrative and analytical support to ensure consistency and accuracy in the risk and cost management processes Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field plus 3–5 years of experience in risk, cost, or project support roles Familiarity with risk management and cost analysis concepts Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and follow established procedures Preferred Qualification/Certifications/Licensures: Experience supporting large-scale projects or infrastructure programs Familiarity with risk and cost management tools (e.g., Excel, @Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis) Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines Salary Range: $70,000 to $110,000 per year Location: Sacramento, CA Work Environment: Hybrid (75% onsite / 25% hybrid) Our Company Cordoba Corporation, Making a Difference Cordoba Corporation is a leading civil engineering, construction management, program management, and planning firm.
