Opened in 1954 and designed by Morris Lapidus, it was the most luxurious hotel on Miami Beach, and is thought to be the most significant building of Lapidus' career.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>We are looking for a detail orientated Room Inventory Controller who will be responsible responsible for coordinating the assignment of guest rooms to ensure that all special requests are accommodated and all reservations are assigned to confirmed accommodations.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Examples of duties (includes but is not limited to the following):</strong></p>\n<li> Track room inventory availability for all accommodation types for day of and all future days.</li>\n<li>Pre-assign arrivals for various types of confirmed accommodations and special requests.</li>\n<li> Generate arrival list and pre assign various types of confirmed accomodations including special requests and VIP assignments.</li>\n<li> Keep Front Office Manager and other appropriate leaders apprised when inventory controls need adjusting or when other actions to accommodate guest demands are necessary.</li>\n<li>Assist with check-in/check-out of guests, answer phones during high-volume activities, and perform other related guest services activities.</li>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Performance Requirements (Knowledge, skills and abilities):</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of hotel Front Office operations. </li>\n <li>Ability to multi-task. Attention to detail. </li>\n <li>Analytical and problems solving skills. </li>\n <li>Ability to operate basic office equipment (i.e., computer, calculator, and multi-line telephone system).  </li>\n <li>Ability to read, write, and understand English.  </li>\n <li>Ability to perform basic math skills.  </li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and guests. </li>\n <li> Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school education or equivalent.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>1 year experience of Front Desk, Reservations, and/or Rooms Control experience in a fast pace environment preferred. Experience with Opera PMS system preferred. </li>\n</ul>",
