The position is responsible for ensuring systems remain healthy, operational, optimized, and properly documented while supporting customer service requests and operational incidents.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting capabilities, operational discipline, and hands-on experience supporting enterprise physical security in higher education, healthcare, commercial, or large campus settings.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>System Operations & Proactive Maintenance</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform daily operational monitoring of Genetec Security Center environments.</li>\n <li>Monitor and review:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>System alerts</li>\n  <li>Archiver health</li>\n  <li>Recording status</li>\n  <li>Storage utilization</li>\n  <li>RAID health</li>\n  <li>Bandwidth utilization</li>\n  <li>Camera operational status</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Conduct preventative maintenance activities across security infrastructure and associated hardware.</li>\n <li>Validate camera functionality, alignment, video quality, and analytics operation.</li>\n <li>Support ongoing firmware, patching, and software update activities in accordance with approved maintenance processes.</li>\n <li>Assist with server and storage operational maintenance.</li>\n <li>Review backup status and recovery validation processes to support operational continuity.</li>\n <li>Maintain operational awareness of system capacity and infrastructure health.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Reactive Service & Troubleshooting</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Respond to reactive service requests, incidents, and operational issues related to the Genetec environment.</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Genetec Security Center</li>\n  <li>Video management systems</li>\n  <li>Access control integrations</li>\n  <li>Camera failures</li>\n  <li>Recording issues</li>\n  <li>Storage-related alerts</li>\n  <li>Server and workstation performance</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Support service desk escalations and engineering-level troubleshooting activities.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with manufacturers and third-party vendors for advanced issue resolution and hardware support.</li>\n <li>Assist authorized personnel with video retrieval and evidence export requests.</li>\n <li>Participate in after-hours or on-call support rotations as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Engineering Support & System Optimization</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Support operational optimization activities within the Genetec platform.</li>\n <li>Perform camera tuning and optimization, including:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Bitrate adjustments</li>\n  <li>Resolution optimization</li>\n  <li>Codec validation</li>\n  <li>Analytics tuning</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Support multicast validation and bandwidth utilization analysis related to security operations.</li>\n <li>Assist with upgrade validation, testing, and controlled deployment activities.</li>\n <li>Support operational integration troubleshooting between Genetec and associated systems.</li>\n <li>Provide operational recommendations focused on system reliability, performance, and maintainability.</li>\n <li>Support technical coordination activities with internal teams and customer stakeholders.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Documentation & Reporting</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain accurate operational documentation, including:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>System inventories</li>\n  <li>Maintenance records</li>\n  <li>Support documentation</li>\n  <li>Configuration records</li>\n  <li>SOP updates</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Document troubleshooting activities, incident resolution, and operational findings within the ITSM platform.</li>\n <li>Assist with operational reporting related to:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>System health</li>\n  <li>Device status</li>\n  <li>Support trends</li>\n  <li>Maintenance activities</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Support the maintenance of architecture diagrams and operational support documentation using tools such as Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Office.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education & Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Security Technologies, Engineering, or related field preferred.</li>\n <li>Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience supporting enterprise physical security systems.</li>\n <li>Experience supporting Genetec Security Center environments in an operational or service delivery capacity preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Technical Skills</strong></p>\n<p>Strong working knowledge of:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Genetec Security Center</li>\n <li>Video management systems (VMS)</li>\n <li>Access control systems</li>\n <li>Windows Server environments</li>\n <li>RAID storage systems</li>\n <li>Security camera technologies</li>\n <li>Firmware and patch management</li>\n <li>ITSM / ticketing platforms</li>\n <li>Operational troubleshooting methodologies</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Required Certifications (At least one of the
