Responsibilities also include ensuring that a successful housekeeping program is maintained at all times and that housekeeping is in compliance with ISDH survey regulations.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Environmental Services Director Essential Functions</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensuring that housekeeping, laundry and floorcare tasks are being carried out according to policy/procedure and that they are meeting quality assurance standards of the facility</li>\n <li>Overseeing the recruitment, interviewing and selection of housekeeping, laundry and floorcare personnel</li>\n <li>Preparing written employee performance evaluations and making recommendations for salary increases, terminations and disciplinary actions</li>\n <li>Maintaining knowledge of State and Federal regulations for housekeeping/environmental issues for in-servicing purposes </li>\n <li>Maintaining and complying with department budgets and being prudent with the ordering of supplies and equipment</li>\n <li>Maintaining Floorcare Schedule</li>\n <li>Disposing of refuse daily in accordance with our established sanitation procedures</li>\n <li>Maintaining the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure residents rights, privacy and property are protected at all times</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Environmental Services Director Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Have a thorough understanding of housekeeping, laundry and floorcare practices within the State of employment.</li>\n <li>Must possess managerial and interpersonal skills</li>\n <li>The ability to maintain budgets, records and reports</li>\n <li>The possession of personal integrity and the ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and personnel</li>\n <li>The ability to get along with departments as a Team Player</li>\n <li>A high school diploma or GED preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p></p>",
