    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Position Title:</strong> Armed Security Guard<br><strong>Department:</strong> Security Services<br><strong>Reports To:</strong> Project Manager/Lead Security Guard<br><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Full-Time<br><strong>Security Clearance:</strong> T3 Background Investigation Required<br><strong>Location:</strong> Vicksburg, MS and surrounding areas (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facilities)</p><h2>POSITION SUMMARY</h2><p>We are seeking qualified Armed Security Guards to provide professional security services for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facilities. This is a critical role responsible for protecting federal property, personnel, and assets through access control, patrol duties, and emergency response. Guards will work in a 24/7 operation covering multiple locations including harbor facilities, pumping plants, and specialized waterborne units.</p><h2>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</h2><p><strong>Security Operations:</strong></p><ul><li>Control access to federal facilities by verifying identification and maintaining visitor logs</li><li>Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of assigned areas and perimeter</li><li>Monitor and respond to security alarms and emergency situations</li><li>Protect government property against theft, damage, sabotage, and unauthorized access</li><li>Perform building security checks and equipment inspections</li></ul><p><strong>Emergency Response &amp; Safety:</strong></p><ul><li>Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and security breaches</li><li>Provide first aid and CPR as needed</li><li>Contact emergency services and security management as required</li><li>Implement emergency procedures and evacuation protocols</li></ul><p><strong>Documentation &amp; Reporting:</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain accurate daily logs and incident reports</li><li>Prepare detailed written reports of all activities and incidents</li><li>Document facility inspections and security checks</li><li>Submit reports to supervisory personnel in timely manner</li></ul><h2>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</h2><p><strong>Basic Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>U.S. Citizenship required</li><li>Minimum age of 21 years</li><li>High school diploma or GED from accredited institution</li><li>Valid driver&#39;s license</li><li>Must pass E-Verify employment eligibility verification</li><li>Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing, comprehension)</li></ul><p><strong>Security Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to obtain favorably adjudicated T3 background investigation</li><li>Must qualify for Individual Reliability Program (IRP)</li><li>Compliance with 18 USC 922(g)(9) (Lautenberg Amendment)</li><li>No disqualifying criminal history</li></ul><p><strong>Physical &amp; Medical Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Pass initial and annual Physical Ability Test (PAT)</li><li>Pass initial and annual medical evaluation</li><li>Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation</li></ul><p><strong>Testing &amp; Screening:</strong></p><ul><li>Pass initial and periodic drug testing</li><li>Submit to background investigation and fingerprinting</li><li>Pass comprehensive security screening</li></ul><h2>REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS &amp; TRAINING</h2><p><em>(Training provided by employer)</em></p><ul><li>CPR and First Aid certification</li><li>Weapons training and qualification (semiannual)</li><li>Security guard training program (30+ hours)</li><li>Authority and jurisdiction training</li><li>Use of force training</li><li>Various mandatory federal training programs</li></ul><h2>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</h2><ul><li>2+ years experience in law enforcement, military, or security services</li><li>Previous federal facility security experience</li><li>Knowledge of security equipment and procedures</li><li>Strong customer service and communication skills</li></ul><h2>WORKING CONDITIONS &amp; SCHEDULE</h2><ul><li><strong>Schedule:</strong> 24/7 operations including nights, weekends, and holidays</li><li><strong>Environment:</strong> Indoor/outdoor work in various weather conditions</li><li><strong>Physical Demands:</strong> Extended periods of standing, walking, and patrolling</li><li><strong>Travel:</strong> May be assigned to multiple locations within district</li><li><strong>Special Assignment:</strong> Potential waterborne duty on Mat Sinking Unit (seasonal)</li></ul><h2>COMPENSATION &amp; BENEFITS</h2><ul><li>Competitive hourly wage</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Professional development opportunities</li><li>All required training provided</li><li>Uniform and equipment provided</li></ul><h2>TO APPLY</h2><p>Qualified candidates should submit:</p><ul><li>Completed application</li><li>Resume</li><li>Copy of driver&#39;s license</li><li>Copy of high school diploma/GED</li><li>Employment references</li></ul><p><strong>Note:</strong> This position requires successful completion of extensive background investigation process before assignment to duties.
