Conduct OCIMF SIRE inspections. Establish solid working relationships with area regulatory, pilot and industry groups; achieved through participating in area marine industry groups. Support the West Coast Valero Marine Terminals remotely. This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay. Currently possess a valid passport or the ability to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe required. Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC), or the ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe required. Able and willing to work onsite and in-person at the Valero Corpus Christi Refineries required. Preferred Requirements: Bachelor’s or higher level degree preferred. Master’s experience on tank ships is preferred. 5+ years of actual sea service aboard tankers preferred. 2+ years served in the capacity of Master, Chief Officer, Chief Engineer, or 1st Assistant Engineer preferred. OCIMF SIRE Category 1 accreditation preferred. Licensed Merchant Mariner Officer for Unlimited Ocean tonnage – Master’s license for vessels 3,000 gross tons or more or Chief Engineer’s license for vessel’s powered by main propulsion of 3,000kW (4,021HP) or more preferred.
