This is including but is not limited to terrestrial (buried and aerial) Copper and Fiber Optic Plant, Wireless and Microwave towers, facilities such as Remote nodes, Access Points and cross-connects.<br>&nbsp;<br><strong>Cable Splicer</strong></p><p>Splice, troubleshoot and maintain copper and fiber optic cables.</p><p>Identify, research, and resolve hardware and component issues daily.</p><p>Installs load pots, buildouts, repeater cases, or other transmission improvement devices.</p><p>Performs fault location by use of test sets and pressure gradient methods.</p><p>Install and configure vendor-specific cards and equipment.&nbsp;</p><p>Complete&nbsp;Line Station Transfers and cuts.</p><p>Create as-builts and help maintain records by providing updates.</p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong><br>&nbsp;<br>Must have a high school diploma and must possess and maintain a driver&rsquo;s license. Four (4) years training in a relevant telephone apprentice program or equivalent experience leading to journeyman-level performance in this specialty, with two (2) years experience in the skills and work this position will typically perform. Ability to operate necessary equipment. To read and interpret schematics and diagrams. Ability to climb and perform work functions on poles and to differentiate colors.<br>&nbsp;<br><strong>Certifications and Licenses Required</strong><br>&nbsp;<br>As listed below, some levels may require you to possess and maintain an Alaska Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Class A, as well as a valid Certificate of Medical Examination (Medical Card), and pass a Drug and Alcohol Background check.<br>&nbsp;<br><strong>CDL:</strong><br>&nbsp;Linemen/Splicers<br>&nbsp;<br><strong>Med Card:</strong><br>&nbsp;Wireless<br>&nbsp;I&amp;R/Field Services<br>&nbsp;Bush Technicians<br>&nbsp;Facility Techs<br>&nbsp;Inspectors</p><p><strong>Additional Job Requirements</strong></p><p>External applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment suitability assessment and either a DOT or non-DOT drug test, depending on the position. &nbsp;</p><p><br></p></div></div></div>\n    </div>\n  </div>\n",
