    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Position Title:      Delivery Staff Level 1</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Tasks &amp; Activities:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Load and unload equipment.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Prep equipment, if necessary, prior to loading.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Assist with the delivery and pick up equipment.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Provide directional assistance when parking delivery truck.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Read a road map and clearly communicate directions to the driver.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Maintain accurate delivery and pick up records.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Inform management of new sales opportunities and job sites.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Know specifics and applications of rental inventory to answer questions upon delivery.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Maintain and comply with company procedures and policies.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Recommend equipment and related items to customers.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Double check delivered items to make sure customer receives exactly what was ordered.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Notify dispatcher or store if behind schedule, so customers may be contacted.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Instruct customers on equipment operation.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Start equipment and review safety features with customers.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>When picking up equipment if something is missing or broken, fill out the appropriate forms and obtain customer’s signature.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Verify pick up ticket copies were delivered to warehouse supervisor/manager, so counts then can be verified prior to unloading.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Comply with government safety requirements and other regulations and security in store.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Attend department, store and safety meetings.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Perform other duties as requested.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Nature of the Work:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Will assist in loading and unloading vehicles/trucks and work with delivery personnel/driver and dispatcher/delivery coordinator to deliver any equipment in full or partial loads.  Must service customers in a polite, friendly and professional manner. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Working Conditions:</span>           </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>May be exposed to the general range of weather experienced in the area, with the exception of several hours in the warehouse loading or unloading and drive time. Some work areas may not be heated or air conditioned.  May have exposure to chemicals, including but not limited to gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, kerosene and cleaning solvents.  Propane is an obvious hazard; hence a sense of smell is required.  Some electrical equipment is delivered, although it is not a requirement to install or service the equipment.  If lighting is required (the installation of extension cords and lamps) the drivers are provided with Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFI) breakers. Stooping, crouching, bending, lifting, lowering, reaching, twisting, pulling, pushing, carting and carrying are intermittent tasks that routinely occur.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education, Skills &amp; Requirements:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Must be able to lift approximately 100 lbs. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Must maintain a professional personal appearance.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Must possess customer relation skills.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Must be able to read a road map and clearly communicate directions to the driver.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Must be able to use mathematics to solve problems.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Must be able to speak English clearly and write legibly.
