This position <br>requires dedication, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic to ensure a safe and suitable <br>environment for all. Responsibilities include a variety of housekeeping and laundry duties such as <br>dusting, disinfecting, sweeping, mopping, waxing floors, washing and folding laundry, and handling <br>refuse. This position may also assist in arranging furniture and other related tasks.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0e101a; font-size: 16px\"><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Functions/Duties/Responsibilities:</span><br>• Clean and disinfect hospital furniture, fixtures, and equipment to ensure a sanitary <br>environment, crucial for patient health and safety.<br>• Perform floor care, including sweeping, mopping, waxing, and buffing, to ensure a clean and <br>safe walking environment.<br>• Collect, transport, and dispose of waste and recycling materials appropriately, contributing <br>to a hygienic and organized facility.<br>• Dust and polish surfaces to maintain cleanliness and appearance.<br>• Rearrange and move furniture or equipment as needed for cleaning or facility needs.<br>• Perform laundry tasks, including washing, drying, folding, and inspecting articles for quality.<br>• Handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.<br>• Replenish cleaning supplies and report inventory needs to the supervisor.<br>• Adhere to infection control standards and hospital policies during all cleaning and sanitizing <br>tasks, playing a vital role in preventing the spread of infections.<br>• Assist with special cleaning projects or assignments as directed by the supervisor.<br>• Other duties as assigned.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0e101a; font-size: 16px\"><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills / Abilities:</span><br>• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and materials.<br>• Familiarity with safe handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.<br>• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.<br>• Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift and move objects, and operate cleaning <br>equipment.<br>• Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff and patients <br>respectfully.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0e101a; font-size: 16px\"><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education, Certificates, and License:</span><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education:</span><br>• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.<br>Experience:<br>• Prior housekeeping or laundry experience in healthcare preferred.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0e101a; font-size: 16px\"><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Requirements:</span><br>• Lifting: Frequently lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.<br>• Mobility: Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout shifts.<br>• Posture: Regular use of equipment such as mops, brooms, and vacuum cleaners.<br>• Environmental Exposure: Frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals and varying indoor <br>temperatures.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0e101a; font-size: 16px\"><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">EEOC Statement:</span><br>Harrison County Community Hospital District provides equal employment opportunities to all <br>employees and applicants and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type, without regard <br>to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, <br>sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by law.</span></p>",
