    "description": "<h2>Job Description & Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Persistent Systems is seeking a Senior Cyber Software Engineer with extensive experience developing software (C/C++) in a Linux environment.  You will be responsible for working with a team of engineers in the development and implementation of a wide range of low-level embedded software, hardware development and the development of application software running on the Wave Relay® network.  This position provides the opportunity to develop technology that enables our customers to solve their most difficult networking problems. </p>\n<p>  </p>\n<p><strong>Position Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Developing and implementing a wide range of low-level embedded software (including device driver, Linux kernel modules, network stack development, porting existing software to new embedded platforms, and other low-level programming activities), hardware development, as well as the development of application software running on the Wave Relay® network </li>\n <li>Developing software security solutions for our Wave Relay networking products</li>\n <li>Cross-platform implementation of software security components targeting Linux OS</li>\n <li>Socket programming </li>\n <li>Creating Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) frameworks within our networking products</li>\n <li>Programming OpenSSL frameworks in C for our Wave relay networking products</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Job Qualifications & Experience </h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent </li>\n <li>5 years of C/C++ programming experience in a Linux environment</li>\n <li>Product development experience</li>\n <li>Deep knowledge of Wireless Networking specific to layer 2</li>\n <li>OpenSSL programming experience in C</li>\n <li>Experience with Linux driver (e.g., wireless, network stack), Linux kernel, and kernel module development</li>\n <li>Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) development</li>\n <li>Must have the ability to obtain a United States security clearance </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> <strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or Computer Engineering</li>\n <li>FIPS validation experience</li>\n <li>A deep understanding of open-source VPN software</li>\n <li>Experience with cryptography related development</li>\n <li>Experience with shell scripting, network application development, distributed systems, and network protocol development</li>\n <li>United States security clearance  </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The base pay for this role can vary from $179,000 to $228,000 a year based on individual qualifications. Eligibility for yearly discretionary bonus.
