    "description": "<p>Teachers for 2025-2026 School Year</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">The function of the Avenue MDO program is to provide a safe, Christian based, developmentally appropriate environment for all children. All of the requirements and responsibilities outlined in this job description should  be handled with this goal in mind. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; text-decoration: underline\">Duties:</span></span><br></p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times, being alert to the needs and or problems of the children as individuals and as a group. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Keep classrooms clean, neat, and orderly. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Keep the program directors informed, as much as possible, of any program needs. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Report to the program directors any special needs or problems of individual children. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Handle discipline promptly and in accordance with stated policy. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Maintain effective hygiene procedures in caring for children (i.e. wipe runny noses, wash hands of  children prior to lunch, etc.) </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Be interactive with the children in your care. </span></li>\n</ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; text-decoration: underline\">Performance Responsibilities:</span></span><br></p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Develops and maintains a classroom environment conducive to effective learning. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Endeavors to become acquainted with students in his/her assignment. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Exhibits an understanding of children’s needs and shows concern and patience in dealing with those  needs. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Be able to perform duties associated with daily care of children in your classroom (i.e., lifting children,  playing with children on the ground level). </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Become certified in CPR/First Aid and keep current certification. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Handle emergency situations with composure and level headedness. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> Establishes and maintains cooperative relations with staff and families. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Works as an effective team member in implementing team decisions. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Demonstrates willingness to perform duties and functions as requested. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Reports any complaints or grievances to program directors and/or Mark Miller. </span></li>\n</ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; text-decoration: underline\">Expectations:</span></span><br></p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Report and clock in at 8:00 am to prepare for your day. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Be prepared to attend and participate in daily staff meetings at 8:15 am. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Attend any additional staff training and/or meetings as required. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Plan, implement and evaluate lessons using Thompson’s Scope and Sequence Curriculum. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Turn in monthly lesson plans on time. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Create and send daily reports for each present child which include details about the day and pictures. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Refrain from using your cell phone for personal reasons other than emergency during school hours, especially while children are in your care. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Complete daily clean up tasks and clock out at 2:15 pm.</span></li>\n</ol>",
