The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering, architecture, or industrial design. The primary responsibilities include configuring and designing innovative layouts for our aquatic play structures.</p>\n<p>The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and possesses strong communication and critical-thinking skills. This role requires a self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a time-conscious office environment. The successful candidate must be a creative problem solver.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conceptualize, design, and develop innovative and engaging layouts primarily for AquaPlay and AquaForms. Designs must respond to customer requests with the goal of optimizing guest experience, operational performance, and safety.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with product development and creative teams to generate compelling theming designs that enhance the overall experience of play structures, aligned with current trends and market demands.</li>\n<li>Work with the waterslide design team to apply customer-specific colour combinations that align with existing park aesthetics, customer preferences, and/or customer IP.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, manufacturing, and marketing to ensure design feasibility and market readiness.</li>\n<li>Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and materials to continuously improve and modernize product offerings.</li>\n<li>Assist in the development of design guidelines and standards to streamline the design process and maintain brand consistency across products.</li>\n<li>Support Project Services by clearly communicating design intent to project designers and engineers to ensure alignment between proposed concepts and manufactured outcomes.</li>\n<li>Deliver aesthetically appropriate colour schemes and layouts suited to a wide range of project types.</li>\n<li>Proactively manage tight schedules, timelines, and established processes.</li>\n<li>Demonstrate respect for others through effective communication, consideration, and cooperation.</li>\n<li>Participate in, and where applicable lead, departmental training.</li>\n<li>Execute responsibilities in accordance with lawful and ethical standards.</li>\n<li>Take responsibility for personal safety by ensuring best practices are followed.</li>\n<li>Perform other duties as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Other duties as required.<br><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">QUALIFICATIONS &amp; EXPERIENCE:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Industrial Design, Engineering, or a related field.</li>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field; experience in the aquatic play or amusement park industry is preferred.</li>\n<li>Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD is essential.</li>\n<li>Experience with software such as Adobe Creative Suite and 3D visualization tools (e.g., 3ds Max, SketchUp, Rhino, Maya, Keyshot, Lumion, Unreal) is an asset.</li>\n<li>Graphic design or 3D animation experience is an asset.</li>\n<li>Strong portfolio demonstrating creative and innovative design solutions, with a focus on aquatic play structures is preferred.</li>\n<li>Proven ability to lead design projects from concept through completion.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of colour theory, materials, steel and fiberglass manufacturing processes, and safety standards relevant to aquatic play structures.</li>\n<li>Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.</li>\n<li>Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li>\n<li>Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mentor junior team members.</li>\n<li>Passion for playgrounds, themed entertainment, water attractions, and creating memorable guest experiences.</li>\n<li>Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.</li>\n<li>Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work well with others.</li>\n<li>Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by following all company rules and policies.</li>\n<li>Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Whitewater Competencies:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Accountability – We do what we say</li>\n<li>Collaboration – We work well together</li>\n<li>Customer Focus – We know and respond to our customers</li>\n<li>Communication – We listen to and understand each other</li>\n<li>Authenticity – We are honest and trust each other</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Resilience – We deal effectively with pressure, are persistent and optimistic</li>\n<li>Flexibility &amp; Adaptability – We are willing and able to respond to changing circumstances</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>WhiteWater is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
