    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p><link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/22.39.8/styles/froala_editor.pkgd.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\"><strong>P<span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">osition Summary:<br><br></span></strong></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">The Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator manages activities and projects to promote health and safety, protect the environment, and provide occupational and workplace safety and training. The Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator is also responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies such as but limited to: OSHA, EPA, and other related agencies.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><strong>General Description:</strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">The Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator is responsible for outlining and implementing training programs to educate and inform Parkson&rsquo;s workforce on work safety, environmental safety, and accident prevention programs and procedures. Tracks and documents incidents to understand root causes and recommend changes to prevent future incidents. Performs inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes, recommends corrective actions and/or additional precautions to ensure compliance with established regulations. Documents injury/illness/near misses/first aid incidents and distributes reports to Management. Promotes a safe working environment through training, performing accident investigations, and improving safety conditions based on near-miss reports. Hands-on approach to safety in the facility.</span></p><p><strong>Work Schedule:</strong></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">The schedule for this position is Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please note that the schedule may be adjusted based on operational and shop requirements.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; Composes, administers, and implements OSHA workplace safety, environmental protection, and safety programs. Develops, implements, and manages compliance programs to keep current with regulatory standards.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; Evaluates and improves procedures to facilitate and promote safe work practices.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; Collaborates with cross-functional departments to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures for adherence to OSHA requirements.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; Leads reviews of safety incidents with stakeholders, develops ways to prevent recurrences.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; Reviews and interprets relevant statutory, regulatory requirements and develops policies and procedures for compliance (OSHA, EPA).</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; Performs incident investigations and formally reports the findings to Management.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; Identifies opportunities to minimize/eliminate workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; Coordinates with outside parties to test and monitor potential environmental issues such as Hexavalent Chromium, Grade D Breathing Air, Silica Dust, and sound levels.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; Coordinates annual testing for employees regarding hearing, vision, respirator fit, etc.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; Coordinates employee training program on applicable safety standards.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; Assist with acquiring permits associated with Environmental Health and Safety services from the agency having jurisdiction.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; Provides support services and makes recommendations for repair or replacement of personal protective equipment and ergonomic equipment needs.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; Maintains positive working relationships with internal employees, external vendors, stakeholders, and external agencies. Seeks to gain compliance through understanding and relationship building.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Education:</strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Experience:</strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; 3-5 years of experience.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; Previous experience working in a metal fab shop preferred.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities:</strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; MS Office.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; Ability to work independently with limited supervision.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; Excellent written and verbal skills.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; Knowledge of regulatory compliance principles and practices.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; Ability to adapt and maintain professional composure in emergent and crisis situations.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; Ability to develop and maintain effective and positive working relationships.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; Previous experience in a Safety role is required.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; Ability to communicate in Spanish would be an advantage.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Licenses and/or Certifications:</strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; OSHA 30 certification required, or the ability to obtain within 6 months after being hired.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; ASP (Associate Safety Professional) or CSP (Certified Safety Professional) preferred.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Travel:</strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&bull; Ability to travel up to 10%.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
