We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead our accounting operations and support strategic decision-making.<br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Summary</span></p>\n<p>The Financial Controller will oversee all financial and accounting activities, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with industry standards. This role requires deep experience in construction accounting and hands-on expertise with <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Sage 300 (formerly Timberline)</span>.<br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Financial Management &amp; Reporting</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements</li>\n<li>Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes</li>\n<li>Provide actionable financial insights to executive leadership</li>\n<li>Monitor cash flow, job costing, and profitability across projects</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Construction Accounting</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee job cost accounting, WIP (Work in Progress), and percentage-of-completion reporting</li>\n<li>Manage project-based financial tracking, including cost allocations and revenue recognition</li>\n<li>Ensure accurate tracking of subcontractor costs, change orders, and retainage</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Sage 300 Administration</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Serve as the internal expert for <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Sage 300 Construction &amp; Real Estate (CRE)</span></li>\n<li>Maintain system integrity, chart of accounts, and job cost structures</li>\n<li>Optimize workflows and reporting within Sage 300</li>\n<li>Train and support accounting staff on system best practices</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compliance &amp; Controls</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure compliance with GAAP and construction-specific accounting standards</li>\n<li>Maintain strong internal controls and audit readiness</li>\n<li>Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Leadership &amp; Team Management</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead and mentor the accounting team (AP, AR, payroll, project accounting)</li>\n<li>Establish and improve financial processes and reporting systems</li>\n<li>Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and project management teams</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br>Qualifications</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field</li>\n<li>7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">3+ years in construction</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Advanced proficiency in Sage 300 CRE (mandatory)</span></li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP reporting, and construction financials</li>\n<li>Experience managing financial audits and compliance</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>CPA or CMA designation</li>\n<li>Experience with multi-entity or multi-project environments</li>\n<li>Familiarity with construction contracts and risk management</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Skills</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities</li>\n<li>High attention to detail and accuracy</li>\n<li>Excellent leadership and communication skills</li>\n<li>Ability to translate financial data into business insights</li>\n<li>Process improvement mindset</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br>Compensation &amp; Benefits</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competitive salary based on experience</li>\n<li>Performance-based bonus</li>\n<li>Health, dental, and vision insurance</li>\n<li>401(k) w/matching</li>\n<li>Paid time off and holidays</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br>Why Join Us</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Growing company with a strong project pipeline and a safety-first mindset</li>\n<li>High-impact role with executive visibility</li>\n<li>Opportunity to modernize and optimize financial systems</li>\n<li>Collaborative, team-oriented environment</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>",
