We are seeking a <strong>GIS Intern</strong> to support municipal transportation projects by assisting with data collection, GIS data development, and map production. This is a hands-on opportunity to work alongside engineers, planners, and scientists, gain real-world GIS experience, and build valuable skills through cross-training and mentorship. &nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><u><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></u></p><ul><li>Create eye-catching maps, graphics, and visualizations used in real client projects&nbsp;</li><li>Analyze spatial data to support transportation, environmental, water, and land development projects&nbsp;</li><li>Assist with building and maintaining GIS databases and web maps&nbsp;</li><li>Support field data collection and integrate data into GIS platforms&nbsp;</li><li>Perform geoprocessing and basic spatial analysis&nbsp;</li><li>Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and learn how GIS fits into the full project lifecycle&nbsp;</li><li>Learn new skills and contribute to project tasks and activities&nbsp;</li><li>Ask lots of questions!&nbsp;</li></ul><p>Preferred location is BETA’s Lincoln, RI office.
