Join us in making a real difference in the health of our community.</em></p>\n<h2>Job Summary</h2>\n<p>We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Infectious Disease Physician (MD/DO) to deliver on-site infectious disease consultative services in skilled nursing and long-term care settings. The physician will manage complex infections, oversee antimicrobial therapy, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and Advanced Practice Providers.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>• Provide infectious disease consultations for SNF/LTC residents</p>\n<p>• Diagnose and manage complex infections including pneumonia, UTIs, bacteremia, osteomyelitis, wound infections, HIV, and viral hepatitis</p>\n<p>• Direct antimicrobial therapy including IV and oral regimens</p>\n<p>• Order, interpret, and act upon cultures, labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies</p>\n<p>• Lead and support antimicrobial stewardship initiatives</p>\n<p>• Supervise and collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and facility clinical staff</p>\n<p>• Advise on infection prevention, isolation, and regulatory compliance</p>\n<p>• Ensure accurate, timely EMR documentation in accordance with CMS and state requirements</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school</p>\n<p>• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency</p>\n<p>• Fellowship training in Infectious Disease preferred</p>\n<p>• Active and unrestricted New York State medical license</p>\n<p>• DEA registration</p>\n<p>• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Infectious Disease</p>\n<p>• Experience in SNF/LTC or post-acute care preferred</p>\n<h2>Equal Opportunity Employer</h2>\n<p><strong>ESSEN HEALTH CARE IS PROUD TO BE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER</strong></p>\n<p><em>Essen Health care is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and we seek candidates who desire to work in and serve an ethnically diverse population.</em></p>",
