Setup Engineers possess an understanding of general or proposed designs, lead design support teams, and participate in design development and selection. We are looking for a motivated, high energy, top performer with excellent communication skills to work in an agile team environment.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Respond to customer RFQs by reviewing customer drawings, CAD data, and other requirements and providing a price quotation and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) analysis.</li>\n <li>Setup new Flex Circuit products within Minco systems utilizing a robust New Product Introduction (NPI) development process.  Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and prototype technicians to successfully setup, manufacture, and deliver prototypes to customers, timely.</li>\n <li>Setup bill of materials, manufacturing routings, build documentation, and other needed documentation to successfully build and release new products to production. </li>\n <li>Respond to questions and concerns from customers, sales, marketing, and suppliers; investigate product concepts, capability, standards, and other needs; communicate with the appropriate groups.</li>\n <li>Provide technical support to production, quality, and other internal departments in a timely manner to solve internal challenges.</li>\n <li>Participate in design, process, and continuous improvement projects; ensure objectives and timelines are met and collaborate with engineering or production personnel as required to complete projects.</li>\n <li>Investigate, evaluate, and recommend new processes, materials, and tooling to continually accelerate Minco’s leadership in design and manufacturing solutions, quality, productivity, and innovation.</li>\n <li>Support the resolution of external inquiries and challenges by responding to questions and concerns from quality, purchasing, and customer service departments in a timely and professional manner.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as identified<strong>.</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Skills:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prior experience in Flex Circuit and/or Printed Circuit design and manufacturing.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Understanding of IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC 6013, and other applicable standards related to circuit manufacturing.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to utilize fundamental design engineering principles and practices.</li>\n <li>Understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM).</li>\n <li>Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with prospects, customers, suppliers, third-party agencies, fellow employees, and Management.</li>\n <li>Ability to develop good working relationships with quality, production, sales, purchasing, and engineering groups across the company.</li>\n <li>Strong project management skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to work efficiently with a sense of urgency under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities.</li>\n <li>Ability to follow new product introduction processes to deliver quality products to customers in a timely manner.</li>\n <li>Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.</li>\n <li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Visio, Project, Word, PowerPoint)</li>\n <li>Strong working knowledge of GenFlex or other CAD/CAM software related to circuit design.</li>\n <li>Experience writing and executing acceptance and qualification test procedures.</li>\n <li>Understanding and practical application of FMEA.</li>\n <li>Strong working knowledge of DOE and Capability Study.</li>\n <li>Experience with lean principles.</li>\n <li>Strong graphics/visual aide creation skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience, ideally in a similar role at a business-to-business manufacturing company with diverse product and service solutions, within AS9100 or ISO9001 systems.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>General office, engineering and production floor, and manufacturing environments.</li>\n <li>Domestic and/or International Travel might be twenty percent or more, as needed.</li>\n <li>Fast-paced, dynamic workload and responsibilities.</li>\n <li>This is an on-site role.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Compensation: </strong>Range of $80,000  to $130,000  annual gross</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Location:</strong> Fridley, Minnesota</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Minco, we pride ourselves on our commitment to our employees.
