    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\">We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineer to lead the design, development, and certification of high-pressure Type 3 and Type 4 cylinders. This role is critical to advancing composite pressure vessel technology while ensuring product safety, regulatory compliance, performance, quality, and cost targets are achieved from concept through production launch.</p><h2>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</h2><ul><li>Lead design and development of high-pressure Type 3 and Type 4 cylinders.</li><li>Ensure product safety through hazard analysis, FMEA, and validation testing.</li><li>Develop CAD models, drawings, and specifications for liners, composite overwraps, and interfaces.</li><li>Perform and interpret structural analysis, testing, and failure investigations.</li><li>Ensure compliance with DOT, NGV, ISO, and ASME standards.</li><li>Support certification activities and interface with regulatory agencies.</li><li>Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams.</li><li>Drive cost reduction, material optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Support root cause analysis for development, production, or field issues.</li></ul><h2>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:</h2><p>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required (Master&rsquo;s preferred).<br>&nbsp;5&ndash;7 years of overall engineering experience with 3+ years in high-pressure cylinder or pressure vessel development.<br>&nbsp;Education and/or experience with composite materials, preferably HDPE liners and carbon fiber overwrapped structures.<br>&nbsp;Proficiency in CAD and analysis tools (FEA).</p><h2>ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES ARE A PLUS:</h2><ul><li>Experience with Type 3 and Type 4 pressure vessels.</li><li>Working knowledge of NGV, ISO, DOT, and ASME standards.</li><li>Lean or Six Sigma experience.</li><li>Project management or certification experience.</li></ul><h2>CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:</h2><p>Ability to support certification activities in compliance with applicable regulatory standards. Professional Engineering (PE) license or PMP certification is a plus.</p><h2>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</h2><p>This position is primarily office-based with periodic presence in manufacturing and test environments. May require occasional lifting up to 25 lbs and use of standard PPE in production areas.</p><h2>WORK ENVIRONMENT:</h2><p>Office and manufacturing environments. Occasional exposure to production floor conditions, including noise and industrial equipment.</p></div></div>\n",
