    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p data-pasted=\"true\">Physician Practice Enhancement is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for Indian Health Services in Belcourt, North Dakota. &nbsp;Belcourt is a rural setting near the Canadian border with access to hunting, fishing and wide open recreation.</p><p>Full-Time, Part-Time or Per diem shifts available. 12 hr shifts</p><p>Annual ED Volume 14,000</p><p>Onsite 24 hr Pharmacy and Radiology, CT, mobile MRI Radiology Services available</p><p>Any state license accepted</p><div style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Aptos\",sans-serif;' data-pasted=\"true\"><p><span style='font-family:\"Georgia\",serif;color:black;'>Rate = $240/Hr + $20/Hr Travel stipend</span></p></div><span style='font-size:16px;font-family:\"Georgia\",serif;color:black;'>Block Shift offered &ndash; 7/12 hour shifts = $21,840.00<br><br></span><p><strong>About the Role:</strong></p><p>The Emergency Medicine Physician within Indian Health Services plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, culturally competent emergency medical care to Native American populations across diverse clinical settings. This position requires the physician to rapidly assess, diagnose, and manage acute illnesses and injuries, ensuring timely and effective treatment to improve patient outcomes. The role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, facilitate patient transfers when necessary, and contribute to community health initiatives. The physician will also engage in continuous quality improvement activities and participate in education and training programs to enhance emergency care services. Ultimately, this position aims to provide compassionate, evidence-based emergency care that respects the unique cultural and social needs of the communities served by Indian Health Services.</p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.</li><li>2 Years recent ED experience</li><li>Board certification in Emergency Medicine.</li><li>Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the United States.</li><li>Experience working in emergency medicine settings, preferably with diverse and underserved populations.</li><li>Ability to obtain and maintain credentials and privileges at Indian Health Services facilities.</li><li>BLS, ACLS, PALS ATLS</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Prior experience working within Indian Health Services or other federal healthcare systems.</li><li>Familiarity with the cultural, social, and health challenges faced by Native American communities.</li><li>Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification.</li><li>Participation in research or quality improvement projects related to emergency medicine.</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Provide comprehensive emergency medical care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and stabilization of patients presenting with acute medical conditions and trauma.</li><li>Collaborate with nursing staff, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.</li><li>Manage emergency department resources efficiently to ensure timely patient flow and optimal care delivery.</li><li>Participate in community outreach and education programs to promote injury prevention and health awareness within Native American communities.</li><li>Engage in continuous professional development and quality improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of emergency care.</li></ul></div>\n<br/>7a-7p or 7p-7a",
