    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Provide direct assistance to assigned caseload of clients while ensuring adherence to conditions of the Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections and The Salvation Army Harbor Light Complex.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position pays $20.00 / hour</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Supervise program residents on the assigned floor.</li>\n <li>Supervise residents on assigned caseload, meeting with them as often as needed.</li>\n <li>Assist and support treatment staff in resident’s program plan.</li>\n <li>Urge resident participation in appropriate community activities.</li>\n <li>Provide individual and group counseling as assigned.</li>\n <li>Report accurate weekly statistics.</li>\n <li>Refer residents to appropriate community treatment resources to achieve their program goals.</li>\n <li>Ensure all resident bed checks and headcounts are being performed and documented.</li>\n <li>Ensure that all people and materials are monitored for contraband.</li>\n <li>Ensure all corrections residents are monitored through complete administration of check-in and check-out procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Act as Team Leader as requested and perform other duties as instructed by your supervisor</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field.</li>\n <li>Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field plus 2 years experience in the community corrections field..</li>\n <li>  Must be able to routinely lift and carry boxes weighing 50 pounds or more.</li>\n <li>Must be able to use stairs, when necessary, for building evacuations, drills or during elevator maintenance.</li>\n <li>Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable by The Army’s insurance carrier.</li>\n <li>Read and write legibly. Good communication skills.</li>\n <li>Current CPR/First Aid certification or in process of obtaining.</li>\n <li>Effective in dealing with the public and/or dealing with intoxicated individuals.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>MODELING SKILLS</strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Speaks positively about the programs, staff and The Salvation Army.</li>\n <li>Verbalizes pro-social thinking using respectful language, tone of voice and body language.</li>\n <li>Displays pro-social behavior.</li>\n <li>Maintains appropriate boundaries with clients and employees.</li>\n</ul>",
