Classical Charter Schools of Wilmington is a public charter school serving students grades K-8. We are always seeking outstanding applications for future bus driver positions. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">The following mission outlines the expectations of all employees at the school level as well as employees of The Roger Bacon Academy in providing support to the schools.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: underline\">School Bus Driver – Job Responsibilities </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Purpose:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">The School Bus Driver is responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation of students over a specified route, according to a time schedule, for curriculum and extra-curricular activities.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Duties and Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Follow all rules, policies and procedures of Classical Charter Schools of Leland, along with regulations pertaining to the Department of Transportation.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Complies with all traffic ordinance.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Observes all mandatory safety regulation for school buses.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">In tandem with the Bus Monitor, maintains discipline when students are on the us.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Reports undisciplined students to the proper authority.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Keeps assigned bus clean.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Checks bus before each operation for mechanical defects.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Notifies the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Discharges students only at authorized stops.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Transports only authorized students.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Reports all accidents and completed required reports.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Stays current with state rules and regulations pertaining to driving and transporting students.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Other: </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">School Bus Driver is a non-exempt hourly paid position and is required to clock in and out to ensure accurate record keeping to comply with Department of Labor standards.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Must have a reliable means of communication for quick response to the Office Manager and Headmaster to support effective school operations.  </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt; text-decoration: underline\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: black; font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">The Bus Driver will have the following experience and attributes:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">High school degree or equivalent.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Valid North Carolina driver’s license with CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) endorsement.  Also must be covered for personal auto insurance.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to follow oral and written directions.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to read a map</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Interpersonal skills for communication with children, bus monitor, parents or other staff.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino;
