    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Construction Estimator</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>A growing commercial construction company is seeking an experienced <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Construction Estimator</span> to support a diverse portfolio of federal, state, municipal, school, and commercial projects throughout New York State. This is a highly visible role with strong long-term growth potential, a collaborative team environment, and the opportunity to work on meaningful projects ranging from renovations to ground-up construction. This position is primarily onsite and field-based, with hybrid flexibility available after onboarding and establishing yourself in the role.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You’ll Be Doing:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reviewing plans, specifications, and bid documents for commercial and government projects</li>\n<li>Preparing detailed labor, material, and equipment estimates</li>\n<li>Developing competitive bids for design-build and plan/spec work</li>\n<li>Writing scopes of work for subcontractors and vendors</li>\n<li>Soliciting and leveling subcontractor and supplier pricing</li>\n<li>Collaborating with internal teams on preconstruction strategy and value engineering</li>\n<li>Interpreting drawings and identifying constructability and cost-saving opportunities</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Skills:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>5+ years of estimating experience in commercial and/or government construction</li>\n<li>Design-build experience</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of all construction divisions</li>\n<li>Ability to independently build labor and material estimates</li>\n<li>Experience writing scopes of work and leveling bids</li>\n<li>Strong communication and organizational skills</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Skills:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Engineering background</li>\n<li>Federal/public project experience</li>\n<li>Practical, hands-on construction knowledge</li>\n<li>Software Experience - Sage Timberline, Primavera, Bluebeam</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Perks:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Base Salary: <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">$90,000–$120,000</span></li>\n<li>Annual bonus potential based on company performance</li>\n<li>Flexible hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM</li>\n<li>Health insurance with strong employer contribution</li>\n<li>Vision coverage</li>\n<li>401(k) with employer match potential</li>\n<li>Paid holidays including: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas</li>\n<li>PTO Structure - 1 week after 6 months, 2 weeks after 1–6 years, 3 weeks after 7+ years</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Growth Opportunity:</span></p>\n<p>This is a strong opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career with a growing construction company.
